Research unit on Cardiovascular, Metabolic and Nutritional Diseases at UPMC–Sorbonne University School of Medicine is seeking for a new research team
Our research unit is made up of 6 internationally recognized research teams for a total of about 180 members and students wich provide an outstanding environment for clinical, translational and basic research. Our research unit is located in Paris at La Pitié Salpétrière Hospital, the largest hospital in Europe.
Our complementary interests include genetics, genomics, molecular and cellular biology, physiology and pharmacology to bear upon cardiovascular diseases.
All our teams have access to unique housed technological core facilities dedicated to preclinical cardiovascular and metabolical exploration : cellular and clinical imaging, animal core facilities, lipidomic, metabolomic, flow cytometry, post genomic platforms, stem cells and progenitors, L1 and L2 containment laboratories.
Our research unit is funded by the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the University Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC).

- Genomic of cardiovascular diseases. Strong interface with the cardiology clinical department a national reference center for hereditary cardiac diseases
- Basic cardiac electrophysiology. The group is leader in ion channel trafficking and macromolecular complex organization at the plasma membrane of cardiomyocytes
- Pathophysiology of atrial fibrillation. Study the cross talk between adipose tissue and atrial myocardium and its role in the formation of the arrhythmogenic substrate
- Pharmacology of atherothrombosis
- Role of mononuclear phagocytes in immuno-metabolism. In vivo experimental approaches investigating the rôle of dendritic cells and kuppfer cells in cardiometabolic diseases.
- Cellular and vascular lipid homeostasis. Deciphering mechanisms through which bioactive lipids control cell activation and biological activities of lipoproteins with a special emphasis on the impact of nutritional challenges.
